2008 SITTL Underway

This past Sunday, January 13, started the Lt. Chuck Margiotta Staten Island Touch Tackle Winter League.  I am a a team mate of Appleseed Realty GMAC Real estate.  This past Sunday, our team lost 30-0 to RTR Financial.  Although the score looks bad, don't let it deceive you.  Our defense played pretty well, allowing just one touchdown.  Where our team struggled was on special teams.  Allowing two kickoff returns for touchdowns, and one punt return for a total of 22 points after a couple 2-point conversions.  Our offense was just getting adjusted to this new league.  We were able to move the ball down the field, however, a couple of key drops on the drive, and well as a bad snap on two occasions stalled our offense.  RTR Financial played well and deserved to win the game.  

I feel our team will bounce back in week 2 and give our team our first win.  Our weeks 2 matchup is against 5 Star Carting at Father Cappodano.
